|One of the wonderful aspects of living in Great Falls is its peaceful, semi-rural nature with no highways or multiple lane roads running through it. Unfortunately, that also creates a challenge if you need to get to D.C. or other points east. Georgetown Pike is the main road that runs through Great Falls and is a two lane, windy road. It is a historic byway and as beautiful as it is, traffic during rush hour can be a bear. The opening of the Silver Line metro in Reston and Tysons will give residents of Great Falls a much needed alternative to traveling by car on Georgetown Pike. The Reston station has a 2300 car parking garage with 253 reserved spaces and an additional 1,000 parking spaces operated by a private company. The Mclean station has 700 parking spaces. Do you like to bike? The Reston station has a secure bike room for 200 bikes that can be reserved on a yearly basis. A great addition to our community, now that it’s here do you plan to use metro?
Hello Silver Line!
